HABITAT MODELING

Physical habitats in aquatic ecosystems are typically defined in terms of water depth, water flow velocity, water quality characteristics, and substrate composition. The spatial distribution of the various physical parameters are also important.

EnerTek uses an array of sensors, including ADCP’s, multi-probes, and GPS to create spatial maps of rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. These spatial distribution maps help biologists and aquatic habitat specialists develop a better understanding of the study area, supporting defensible Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
